Today I took a stroll down Ye Ole Communist Lane as I waited for 2 hours in the crumbling office of the Czech Foreign Police to take care of my work visa. Shortly after my last post, me and the missus travelled to Prague for a conference - probably one of the highlights of the year! The conference was excellent - fantastic opportunity to meet new people at the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Prague where over a hundred people met representing 60+ theological colleges from across Europe ...  

Prague was wonderful. I really enjoyed the sites, and I actually didn't find the food all that much. We tried about 10 different beers (including a vanilla and a sour cherry beer at a microbrewery we went to), so that was fun! Ultimately though... the last meal at Kampa Park really tied everything together. The setting was SO romantic - swans, incredible view of Charles Bridge, candlelit room, and soft jazz playing ...  

In South Carolina, where I am from, we like winter because it is the best time of year to be outside. No bugs, you can camp out and not worry (too much) about snakes and alligators, and the poison ivy is a little easier to spot then too.
