Charles Ice Bridge

I red on BBC news that Paris have skating place on the Eiffel Tower . Last weekend I found that Prague could not stay behind and thanks lot of snow Stone Charles Bridge changed to Ice Bridge. It looked like someone forget that just few of send or gravel can make tourist life easier. I think that only a few...  


The Library Life

One of the things I like about the Národní knihovna is that Monday-Friday it is open until 10:00 (I never stay that late) and Saturdays until 7:00. One orders stuff, and in a few hours it arrives (or doesn’t; if it doesn’t, the call slip returns with cryptic notations). In the meantime, one has the choice of running errands, roaming about the neighborhood observing the tourists, drinking vending-machine coffee in the ...

This blog is well overdue for an update...I am sure I will have more tales to tell once Christmas passes, but here is the lowdown... Beth and I threw the first annual Ho Ho Ho Bash in cooperation with Melissa and Kelly. Despite some post party drama that I will not go into here, the party was a huge success....

Every May, thousands of music lovers from around the world flock to the Czech capital for the Czech Republic's biggest and most renowned classical music festival - the Prague Spring. 2006 will be no exception, featuring some of the world's leading orchestras, ensembles and soloists at impressive venues like Prague's Rudolfinum, the Bertramka, or the Municipal House. Tickets went on sale this week.  


The most beautiful city

I'll try to get some photos up later, but for now, take my word for it, Prague really *is* as beautiful as they say. We've had fresh snow every night and beautiful clear days. How nice it is to walk down streets filled with men - something that never happens in HK! Tall, gorgeous, and free of bamboo fever. *sigh*, I'm in heaven ...

That's me on the left taking pictures in Mala Strana, Prague. I was at the John Lennon wall again today as I strolled through the old city quarter taking portraits of a local businessman. I guess you could cite my 'hippy roots' as the reason I stopped to snap the multi-colored global wall message yet again....
