At the risk of turning my travelogue into a political soapbox, I want to say just two more things about this whole Danish/Arab cartoon melee: 1) It's a good thing the Arab media never publishes any offensive cartoons; 2) That's it. I'm going back to picking the sausage out of my cabbage soup now. Bye.  

So just yesterday, I got an e-mail from an old high school classmate. I use the term "classmate," as I can't accurately describe this guy as a friend, and we were really the most passing of acquaintances. So I made an international bank transfer through Komerční banka yesterday to a town in neighboring Germany that’s 400 km from Prague. I transferred 150 EUR and chose to cover the transfer fee so that the recipient didn’t have to. The bank charged me 1050 CZK (37 EUR) for the transfer. Good...
