The day’s news started out odd and seems to be getting odder. After counting all parliamentary mandates total deadlock has emerged, in both leftist and rightist coalitions have 100 votes each of 200. Oh, to be a fly on the wall in the offices of any of the political party leaders… Then again,...  

The voting is over and the results are in for the fourth elections to the Chamber of Deputies since the split of Czechoslovakia in 1993. There was a higher voter turnout this year (64.5%) than four years ago (59%). The center-right ODS (Civic Democrats) won the elections with 35.38% of the vote and [...]  

J has managed to score some work at N's school for the next 4 weeks teaching Biology to year 10 boyz (4 in the class). A few classes per week, not whole days. The old teacher got the sack - long story. My suggestion for a field trip to one of the local breweries was accepted by the school. J and 4 boyz down...  

Yesterday, a work colleague & I went to watch a friendly match between Czech Rep & Trinidad at the local Praha Toyota Stadium (same size as Wollongong stadium).We just rocked up & got tickets without any problems - 25 AUD each.Czechs won 3 - 0, as expected. They have a chance in the Worldcup.Off to the...
