Field Trip

We went on a field trip yesterday to the tallest buildingtower in Prague. Its called the TV Tower and it is quite hideous looking. It looks so bizarre next to the rest of the Prague landscape of really beautiful old biuldings. Even more bizarre an artist decided to construct seven foot long babies and place...

I realised that some people read this blog and are interested on how they too can study and enjoy this beautiful city like Stephen. I am studying through a program called ECES via the academic school AIFS. There are hundreds of us mostly from America but also all over the world. There are a ton of classes to...  


Codex gigas alias Devil's Bible returns

One of the most precious books of the world and also the largest manuscript in the Medieval times, Codex gigas, will come to Prague. The book is often called the Devil’s Bible because of a large drawing of a devil on the inside.  


Successful premiere of Goya's Ghots in Prague

As a big cultural event can be called the premiere of Milos Forman’s new film Goya’s Ghosts in Slovansky Dum in the centre of Prague yesterday. Milos Forman, born in the former Czechoslovakia, introduced his new film 7 years after the last one. Milos Forman is known worldwide by films Amadeus, Valmont, or The people vs. Larry Flynt.  


The most centenarians live in Prague

In Prague’s region there are 107 centenarians. Prague is also the only region in the country where the number of seniors is higher then the number of children. There are 185 000 seniors which is 15.6 % of all Prague’s inhabitants, while 12,3% are children under 15 years old.
