Langweil model will return to the Museum of the City of Prague

Langweil model of Prague, one of the most popular item of the collection of the Museum of the City of Prague (Na Porici 52), will be displayed again from 11th April 2007. The model has been repaired and cleaned since October.  


New exhibition in Lobkowicz Palace at Prague Castle

A new museum will be open at Prague Castle – at Lobkowicz Palace which now belongs to Prince William Lobkowicz, the ancestor of famous Czech noble family. Lobkowicz Palace will show exquisite parts of Lobkowicz treasure from the beginning of April.  


The number of Czech people rises

For the first time since the foundation of the Czech Republic in 1993 there were more people born than people who died last year. 105,800 children were born and 104,400 people died. At the end of 2006 there were 10,287,189 people living in the Czech Republic.
