a entry by irishmonkey from a trip to Prague, Czech Republic. Prague, famous for its spring, subsequent soviet tanks, it child, saint wenclaus and cheap beer. Well there's a bit more to the city than that. I finally got to go to Prague about 8 years after i first was...  

This is now the 4th time THIS year that i've been to Prague but to be honest this trip turned out to be one of the most enjoyable Jorg my housemate woke me up at 07.30 this morning after only 2hrs sleep and far too many beers for our trip to Prague. There were 10 all German except me and Lucy Czech of us...

A big action is planned for the coming two days in Prague. The reconstruction of the true historical event that happened seven hundred years ago will show the Holy Roman Emperor and the King of Bohemia Charles IV taking the crown jewels from Prague to Karlstejn where the jewels used to be stored.  

Seems like Prague is not alone in battling a graffiti problem.  That’s good news in a way. At least we know that unsightly graffiti scrawled on beautiful new facades of historical buildings are not a Prague specialty and that vandals can - unfortunately - be found everywhere. There’s also...

I’m heading to beautiful Copenhagen, where I’ve been invited to talk about the Campware Initiative at the Reboot conference later today. Then tomorrow I give a workshop on Campcaster and other open source tools for independent media. There’ll also be some time off, which is also much needed.  

An American man infected with a rare form of tuberculosis travelled via Prague to Montreal with Czech airline company CSA and endangered the lives of his fellow passengers. Before that he took several flights within Europe. From Montreal he travelled to the USA by car. Right now he is in quarantine and his room is guarded.
