Devilish book is coming back to Prague

A modern room with a safe built especially for this event will soon have a new tenant. A famous book called the Devil´s bible, known worldwide as Codex Gigas, the most precious treasure of Swedish national library is coming to Prague for a limited time . It will be exposed in Klementinum since September...

Pierre Richard will come to Prague

Prague will be presented as Paris. At least in a new film by Christophe Barratier who made his Edith Piaf also in Prague. One of the main characters will be played by famous French actor Pierre Richard. Besides Prague’s interiors the film will show several places in Prague, such as Lucerna Palac or Prague’s Opera.  


New 'smart stops' in Prague

Prague Public Transport Company plans to equip many tram and bus stops with electronic information boards giving information about up-to-date connections. Travellers will know when exactly their tram or bus comes and therefore they can plan their time better, for example they will know they have time to buy a newspaper. Such information boards are already in Barrandov and in Malostranska stop.  


What happened on August 21, 1968?

Every year on August 21, the Czech Republic commemorates a sad anniversary. In 1968, the back then Czechoslovakia was invaded. The unthinkable became reality. It was a shock of such a dimension that many could not believe it. Heck, we were being occupied by our liberator! At the end of the World War II,...  


Tram service disruption in Letenska street

Due to the tram service disruption in Letenska street, several trams in Prague will be rerouted. It refers to lines no. 12, 20, 22, 23 and 57. The disruption will last from the morning 22nd August until the morning 2nd September 2007.
