Prague Autumn – International Music Festival

This festival has been since its second year a festival of orchestral music. More and more orchestras from abroad appears here. In 1997 there were 14 concerts and since 1999 to nowadays there have been twenty two concerts. In this festival we can see orchestras from BBC, German orchestras like Beethoven...  


The New National Library Project

The national library is currently in Clemetninum. This site lends it a special feel, with its baroque/classicist architecture and large old- fashioned study rooms. The problem is the amount of the books stored there is so exceedingly high that they simply have to be moved into new premises. That is how the...  


Forum 2000 is in Prague on 7th - 9th October

The main stars of this year’s conference organized under the title ‘Freedom and Responsibility in Politics, International Law, Media, and Business’ will be former U.S. Ministry of Foreign Affairs Madeleine Albright, journalist legend Christianne Amanpour, famous French philosopher Andre Glucksmann or the leader of Belorussian opposition Alexander Milinkevich.  


Mattoni Night Grand Prix will affect the Prague public transport

Already this Saturday Prague will become the venue of the Mattoni Night Grand Prix. The night run in the streets of Prague will affect the city transportation in the centre of Prague between 19:30 and 22:30.  


Coast guard house in Brittany

It wasn't all rain and clouds in France. Whenever the sun came out we were on the beach, or hiking along the coast around Val Andre. Here, we're on top of a cliff overlooking the sea, in front of an old coast guard house that still stands as a memorial to the guard.  


Metro station Mustek B will be closed from Jungmannovo namesti

Due to the replacement of escalators in the metro station Mustek on line B, the entrance and exit from the station to the vestibule in Jugmannovo namesti will be closed. The closure will start on Monday 10th September and it will be finished on Friday 7th December 2007.
