Color squares for kindergarteners

C asked to play color school again the other day, and we came up with a fun exercise. Pick a bunch of colors, draw color squares for each one, sort through and decide on a palette of three or four and then draw a picture using your colors. I think she liked the squares almost as much as her drawing.
